NOTEFINDER PRIVACY POLICY

Introduction

Real Music, Inc., doing business as NoteFinder ("NoteFinder," "we," "our," or "us"), operates the NoteFinder website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains:

By using the Service, you acknowledge that your information will be handled as described in this Privacy Policy.

Summary

Although you should read through the Policy for complete information on how we collect, use, share, and secure information, the following provides a summary of some of the most important aspects of our privacy practices:

Principles for Processing Personal Information

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information in compliance with the applicable legislation. This compliance is consistent with our desire to keep you informed and to recognize and respect your privacy rights. We agree to observe the following principles when processing personal information:

Information We Gather Automatically

We automatically collect limited technical information when you use the Service, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, language settings, pages viewed, referring website, and the date and time of your visit.

We use this information to operate, secure, maintain and improve the Service, troubleshoot technical issues, prevent fraud, understand how the Service is used, and comply with legal obligations.

Where possible, we aggregate or de-identify usage information before using it for analytics or reporting.

Personal Information You Provide To Us

Depending on how you use the Service, you may provide:

Payment card information is entered directly into Stripe's secure payment environment. NoteFinder does not receive or store complete payment card numbers.

When you provide Personal Information to us, we may use that data to create a "My Profile" page for you, which will be held in a database using reasonable security measures to protect the data from unauthorized access. Others outside NoteFinder.com will not be allowed to see the data on your My Profile Page except with your consent (see below). If you register to set up an account, you will be able to access your My Profile page at any time in order to update your individual Personal Information listed therein (see below under "How Can You Correct or Review Your Personal Information?" for more details).

Access to your purchases

When you purchase content from us, we use your email address to deliver your purchase and allow you to access it later.

If you return to access your purchases, we may ask you to verify your email address (for example, by entering a one-time code). Once verified, we may associate your purchases with your email address and provide access to them through a personal library.

This does not require a password and is designed to give you secure, convenient access to your content.

We process this information to fulfil our contract with you and to provide ongoing access to your purchases. We do not use your email for marketing unless you have explicitly opted in.

We may associate purchases, recently viewed scores, download history, and account preferences with your account to provide your personal library across devices and restore your purchases when you sign in.

Data we store

When you purchase a score from NoteFinder, we may store:

Retention

We retain your purchase information so you can access your content in the future.

You can request deletion of your data at any time, although this may remove access to previously purchased content.

How Can Your Personal Information Be Used?

Within NoteFinder

When you make a purchase through NoteFinder, your payment will be processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We do not store your full payment card number on our own servers. Stripe processes and stores your payment information on our behalf in order to complete transactions, prevent fraud, process refunds, and comply with legal and accounting obligations. We may receive limited transaction details from Stripe, such as payment status, card type, expiry date, and the last four digits of your card, for order fulfilment, customer support, and record-keeping. Stripe processes payment data in accordance with its privacy policy.

If you register for an account, we may store information associated with your account, including certain preferences, settings, and activity data described elsewhere in this Policy, in order to support your use of the Service across your devices.

NoteFinder keeps track of the websites and pages you visit within the Service, what features and content you use and how frequently. This information may be used by NoteFinder to maintain and improve the content, design, usability, and quality of the Service; to improve your user experience; to generate and provide statistics regarding use of the Service; to deliver customized content within the Service to users whose behavior indicates that they are interested in a particular subject area, and to develop new products and services.

We may use your Personal Information and other non-personally identifying information we collect to update you about our products or services or to contact you about exciting offers of new products or services that we believe may be of interest to you. You always have the option to receive fewer or no communications in the future from us by opting out. You may opt out by (a) following the instructions included in the specific communication you no longer wish to receive, (b) sending an email to privacy@notefinder.com and explaining how you would like to modify your preferences, or (c) accessing your Profile page and modifying how you would like to modify your preferences.

Finally, without any specific approval from you, we may develop general aggregate data (i.e., data that cannot be used to identify specific individuals) about our user community that is partly based on information about you and your transactions with NoteFinder. For example, hypothetically, you might be one of 1,000,000 customers between the ages of 25 and 35.
